I have no issues doing it, but I slow down a bit and don't really read the words. I just pay attention to the colors.. Don't think I ever thought the wrong color. True talent? I'll let you people decide.

I can read through the colors in about three seconds, the words in about 2. Even though I can read the words quicker, it seems like it requires much more focus. If I just speed read and don't pronounce the words in my head, it requires no focus and takes about a second though. I guess because I don't acknowledge the colors that way.

Probably just too logical, I suspect.

The Left Brain

used to do those puzzles in my psyche classes back in uni. Nailed it, kid's still got it. If you know it's coming, it's easier.

also, you faggots "saying the words in your head" are doing it wrong. you have to say it outloud. You might think it doesn't matter, but it does.

Takes maybe a half a second more to say the colors aloud without any error, Cob. Get on my level.

Also, for some reason I can read the words aloud even faster than pronouncing each in my mind.

say - to utter or pronounce; speak
The world is getting very dumb now. Those of you who thought "say" meant "think"...oh my.

Saying the words aloud makes little to no difference, or at least it doesn't for me. I have always been able to read without subvocalizing and honestly do think in pictures, not words, but when it comes to getting ready to actually say something, the use of my vocal cords and physically hearing myself is the only thing different than listening to my subvocalized thoughts in my mind.

I do understand that speaking aloud is an entirely different process than subvocalizing one's thoughts, but I am, for the most part, equally proficient at both.
MistaCobalina: you are wrong, and now that you've practiced, the test is meaningless
Did you not just make my argument for me? If they are really that different, then how was the test meaningless the first time I tried to read it aloud? Get serious. And for the record, I did say it aloud once or twice when first coming across the picture, and it made no difference then, just like it doesn't now.
