Being a moron is good in Texas, here is my Ft. Worth mayor and my governor. Jesus.

I mean really? This is the type of photo op that actually delivers votes. Firing a deadly weapon wildly in the air is equated somehow with being good at running a government. God help us.

Gamble Bot...

how can you be anti-gun in light of the impending collapse of civilization as we know it

do we really need to talk about how the country is floating on credit and on the brink of imploding ?

Bernie Madoff even called the US economy (and I quote)...'one big Ponzi scheme'

I know that Texas is doing well in terms of job growth, but essentially 95% of the country is in deep shit and the US dollar is being diluted right in front of your face.

I can't believe you oppose any restrictions whatsoever on gun ownership. Don't be such a fucking pussy John.

These guys got my vote. I think every citizen in the country needs to start stockpiling weapons before we see the real meltdown.

Its going to get very ugly very fast and you better start stocking up on canned goods and buying lots of precious metals over the next decade because this country is totally fucked.

I fully support right wing homophobic rednecks promoting gun ownership

Gamble you are a smart guy, but I think you totally underestimate the size of the hole we are in. Sorry but our thriving corn exports and coast to coast McDonald's hiring sprees aren't going to save this shitty ass economy

Obama just hinted that we are pledging our financial support to bail out Greece lol. Which means we will borrow more money from China to help a socialist nation pay its citizens to retire at 45 years old

Oh and apparently a fat chunk of the 60 billion dollars we handed over to General Motors is being used to build a new manufacturing plant in....

Not really interested in politics like I used to be. Its very odd to me that ADD medicine I am now on has changed that. I just dont get hooked on emotion as much anymore which is all a political discussion is ever about anyway. Just know that GM will turn a huge profit for the US taxpayer and everyone that criticized that bailout is running scared. It was a huge success, saving over 1 million people jobs at companies like Dana and Allison. Companies that did nothing wrong that build quality car parts that would insta-close without that bailout.... while you talk of a plant in Mexico where the plan is to make cars in Mexico to sell in Asia that may cost the US 1500 jobs? Dude try not to believe hyped analysis designed to stir up what you are really addicted too: emotion and adrenaline. You are a emotion junkie. You feed off highs and lows. This is why you are attracted to sensationalist, horribly sourced, quasi-informational quasi-journalistic muckraking that has one real purpose: stir up shit in your mind.

As for gun ownership....what fucking "restrictions" are you talking about? I own more guns than you have ever seen in one place in your entire life, and that's just the ones in my truck. I know of very few federal restrictions and I know of zero being proposed by congress in the last 10 years. Please indulge me specifically, on what restrictions are being imposed by I guess an imaginary boogieman, because real gun control is not happening or even talked about anywhere except at the city level. Just find me one proposed bill.

As for the LOL idea of protecting oneself from some sort of invasion by owning guns. I am not so naive. Random citizens with guns fighting a technologically advanced army last about 10 seconds IRL, because this aint Red Dawn. That was a movie. Any conventional arms (as opposed to nuclear), armed struggle in a country with as much resources as the US would be fought by not one but two technologically advanced armies. Your handgun and even my rifle would be utterly useless. Ask the Serbian army how well those guns worked for them. As for ideas of utter lawlessness and chaos, men have been predicting that for civilized European countries for thousands of years, but it still only happens in Africa. Sorry, but thats not happening.

Oh and a friendly reminder: the US is the #1 manufacturing country in the world, along with being the #1 service economy. Good luck with convincing anyone with a PhD of your economic chaos theory. I fail to understand how waving a handgun at a political stop demonstrates competence in administering government, which is surely our biggest problem. We'd rather elect people with good haircuts. We get what we deserve.

Dont get me wrong, we cannot maintain our empire, but we haven't even started discussing whether we want an empire or not yet. Its not a very popular discussion among the military-industrial Lockheed lobbying types who run our country along with banks. I think you should get mad at the people that REALLY run our country and stop fussing about figureheads like Obama who don't have the power or will to rock the boat.

Tight factoids on Greece by the way. Im not sure you even know .001% of that situation , with that country but just know that the money to bail out Greece is coming from another "socialist" (lol at that word) country who somehow is killing us in open market competition in a variety of industries despite the fact that they are so "socialist" and despite the fact that we burned them to the ground 65 years ago. Im talkimg about Germany. Thats a country you wont hear much about on Fox News because they are every mother fucking bit as socialist as Greece but make shitloads of money and kick our ass despite high wages. Also this just in China, yet another socialist country, is kicking our ass with low wages. Good news is that China really is a socialist country unlike the other ones discussed in this paragraph. Another country you might want to look up is Ireland, a country with less social services and one of the lowest tax rates in the world. The "Celtic Tiger" was a country my conservative friends loved to talk about as a model of what low taxes would do for a country. This just in, they owe waaaaaay more money than Greece. Their economy has collapsed and another thing they have in common with Greece is they bet heavily on US real estate. That is basically the answer to why any of the Euro countries are doing poorly. And yes thats a Ponzi scheme.

And yes so is our economy and so is our Social Security and Medicare services. They payoff the people at one end of the pyramid with people's money from the other end.

But the thing is, so is every successful economy in history. Thats how shit works. You are a smart guy, I shouldn't have to explain your Ponzi allegation further. Actually think about it and you will get that that allegation is rather silly because of course it is true, but so fucking what. It would have some substance if you were applying that comment to a particular industry or investment. But as for the "entire economy" being a Ponzi scheme I will point you back to the sentence that tells you that we are the #1 manufacturer in the world. Ponzi schemes that are illegal dont manufacture anything and they certainly wouldnt be the best in the world at doing so. But Im with you if you are talking some specific industries and investments.

But please, be more specific on your allegations so I don't babble for 5 pages in a vain attempt to cover the bases.

As for the dollar being diluted that has been going on since the 1800's in every single country in the world. Its called inflation and it forces companies and individuals to be productive instead of cobweb up funds which stagnate growth. Savings dont create jobs, purchases do. Too much inflation is bad, but the opposite of inflation: deflation is far worse.

Anyway I challenge you to find a single currency in the last 100 years that is worth more in ten years than it is worth now. Diluting currency value is not as scary as you make it sound. Im not saying its a good idea investing in the dollar but the dollar dropping to say the rank of Japan's currency in world rankings isn't going to make anyone go grab a gun and try to steal your gold.

Did you know that there are serious economic advantages to a weak dollar? It drives exports sales to other countries for one. Which is good. Thats because our stuff is suddenly cheaper to a foreign buyer with foreign currency. Its mainly bad if you bet on the dollar, which is basically just doing things like putting it in savings, which i could write a novel on how stupid of an idea it is.
